About Me

Hello and Assalam o Alaikum.

My name is Zainab and I have been trying to come up with something interesting to write here for 20 minutes. I’d like to think of myself as a hilarious person though my sisters will disagree but it’s okay it’s not like they have any sass  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have been blogging here for 4 years and unfortunately, I’m still here frying everyone’s brain. I’m opinionated but I’m also very respectful, kind and friendly. I don’t like using big words in my post or the words that would make you open a dictionary because for me, blogging is like a lengthy conversation with my friends on the internet so I hope while you’re here, you enjoy my blog and its content and if you have feedback or  just want to talk, say hi! or DM me on my instagram 🙂

Here are some useless facts about me:

  • I’m from Pakistan!
  • I was born on 20th April and I’m 20 years old. I started this blog when I was 16.
  • I love to read Fantasy, Dystopian and Middle GradeI used to read Contemporary but then I realized that reading romance wasn’t my thing.
  • I’m lazy and I procrastinate. I like to read, eat, sleep and repeat.
  • I enjoy reviewing books a lot. But, I find it really hard to review books sometimes. I’m not a professional reviewer but more like a casual one.
  • Besides readin, I love watching tv shows and kdramas. I have a long list of favourites!
  • I love Chai and I’m not lying when I say I’m addicted to it.
  • Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Lockwood And Co, The Lunar Chronicles and The Broken Trilogy are some of my favourite series.
  • I have a Bookstagram account – an Instagram account dedicated to books and bookish stuff – and my username is @abibliophilesobsession. You can also find me on Twitter @zainabreads
  • I started this book blog on June 19th, 2015 but I wasn’t really active and only used to post twice a month (I didn’t know anything about blogging back then) but I became an active blogger in November 2015 and have been actively blogging ever since – although I do take a break every once in a few months.
  • I also like DIY a lot. Maybe I’ll make a post of some of my DIYs someday!
  • I wish I could do this in a bookstore:

      1. I do love to read! Mostly non fiction (recent favourites include ‘The Power of Habit’ and ‘The Checklist Manifesto’)

I’ll have to pop by and read your reviews more thoroughly as I love reading reviews as much as the books themselves! 😁

      2. Oh, no, not yet.
I’m a student so the only free time I get, I spend it on reading and blogging so I haven’t done colouring yet.
I’m also not very creative so I don’t know. 😦

      3. I understand the student life. My little sister is a university student too!

You don’t have to be creative to color, really. It’s great for relaxation 😁

      4. Yeah, student life can be really stressful sometimes.
I have just searched some and found a good amount of anti-stress colouring books. I’ll buy it soon! Maybe not now because of my exams but later. Thank you for the advice though. 🙂
But I have to admit your colours were really creative!

  1. Hello Zainab –

I’m writing a book talk on my blog teenwritesweb.worpress.com that is themed around whether people prefer hardcover, or paperback. I’m going around to some of the ore popular writing websites to get opinions and I would love yours.

You can make t as long or short as you want, if you would like to at all.

*Of course, I would put a link to your blog through mine, in case you were wondering.

      1. I am afraid I’m not on Twitter – I haven’t looked into it yet – we can discuss it under your comments or under my Contact Me page on TeenWrites. Whatever works for you – You can make it as long or short as you want.

      2. I personally prefer Paperback over Hardback. Paperbacks are inexpensive as compared to Hardbacks. I spend almost all of my money on books and since I’m a student who doesn’t work, I totally depend on my pocket money. Also, they are easier and comfortable for me to read and carry around in my bag everywhere which I LOVE to do! Hardbacks look great on the shelf but they are really expensive and get too heavy to carry around all the time.

  3. Hey, Zainab!

You have such an adorable personality and I’d name my pet after the Captain of the Guard too. But obviously, being the Ravenclaw I am, I’d name my dog Dorian instead. Pleased to meet you!
